The IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) is the only internationally recognised and independent organisation dedicated to IT Service Management. It is a not-for-profit organisation, wholly owned, and principally operated, by its membership.

The itSMF is a major influence on, and contributor to, industry "best practice" and Standards worldwide, working in partnership with a wide range of governmental and standards bodies worldwide.

Formed in the UK in 1991, there are now national chapters in an ever-increasing number of countries on all continents.
A ful list of chapters is available on the itSMF International Website.

itSMFnz is managed by a Board of volunteers.

We aim to:

  • Develop and promote industry best practice in service management
  • Engender professionalism within service management personnel
  • Provide a vehicle for helping members improve service performance
  • Provide members with a relevant forum in which to exchange information and share experiences with their peers from across the industry
  • Provide a forum to service providers, suppliers and users to discuss matters related to ITSM
  • Assist members in finding and obtaining the correct guidelines and tools, aimed at ITSM
  • Promote exchange of information, ideas and experience
  • Enable organisations in streamlining management of IT service delivery
